Scalita ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Scalita (the "App").

Our Privacy Commitment

Scalita is designed with privacy in mind. We believe you should be able to warm up your voice without being tracked, profiled, or monetized. Here's our commitment:

  • No accounts required - You don't need to create an account or sign in to use Scalita.
  • No personal data collection - We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
  • No tracking or analytics - We don't use any analytics services, tracking pixels, or user behavior monitoring.
  • No ads - We don't display advertisements and don't share data with ad networks.
  • Offline-first - The app works entirely offline. Your data never leaves your device.

Data Storage

All data you create in Scalita (custom scales, routines, settings, vocal range) is stored locally on your device only. This includes:

  • Your vocal range settings
  • Custom scales you create
  • Custom routines you create
  • App preferences (language, notation style, tempo settings)

This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties because we don't have servers that collect user data.

Microphone Access

Scalita requests microphone permission solely for the vocal range detection feature. When you use this feature:

  • Audio is processed in real-time on your device only
  • No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted
  • You can skip this feature entirely and set your range manually
  • You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings

In-App Purchases

Scalita offers an optional one-time Pro purchase through Google Play. The purchase transaction is handled entirely by Google Play, and we do not receive or store any payment information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information about how Google handles purchase data.

Export/Import Feature

You can export your routines and settings as a JSON file to share or backup. This file is created locally on your device. When you share it, you control where it goes. We never see or access these files.

Children's Privacy

Scalita does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we don't collect data, there is no special data handling for children.
